Code.Navigator is basically a OpenOffice 'navigator'-style software gadget that works as an un-official add-on to the SciTE editor. Using it you can jump around in your source code quickly using custom nodepoints.

Code.Navigator is programming language agnostic (through the magicality of regular expressions) and can be used with anything from C++ to PHP, see the Code Examples for a taste of the custom markup used. The program will auto-attach itself as a child window to SciTE if started after SciTE or, if started on its own, start SciTE for you and then attach itself. To un-install simply delete any start menu shortcuts & delete dir - the registry is not used and C.N. itself is contained within a single exe file with a size of less than 245kb. I originally wrote Code.Navigator to help me navigate the source code for Transfz and well; program faster. Since I find the gadget really useful I decided to wrap the code up with an installer to share the joy. Be social about it if you enjoy the goods and spread the word!

Code.Navigator 0.6 has been released, it fixes a number of issues with the first public 0.5 release and, perhaps most importantly, features proper integration with the SciTE via the Director Interface. Also, nothing has been heard from 2nd dude with a app that was somewhat alike this one so I'll leave it be at that

Disturbingly I've found out that someone already made an application with VERY similar features to this one back in 2007 (but for a specific programming language).. it is called... "Code Navigator" (without the "." in it)... almost too much to bear! Well, guess a re-name is in order, I've written the author so lets see what he has to say :|

Code.Navigator 0.5 uploaded and software submitted to betanews.com. A number of silent updates have been made to the 0.5 file during the day (bad practise i know, this is a one off) so if you downloaded earlier today and are experiencing problems with SciTE detection and more - please re-download, delete old installation, and install again! (0.6 and onwards will auto overwrite earlier installs)

Site design done, basics anywho - not much dynamics, but hey; focus is on the software here, right?

Code.Navigator finished, still lacking a few features but these will included in the next beta, stay tuned. New releases will be announced on this page. Also, please do ship me a mail in case you have any specific ideas on how to improve Code.Navigator without going too far beyond the current scope of the app.
